Kolton O'Day, PE
Before earning my Professional Engineer license, I worked inside the mechanical contracting world as a laborer while completing my plumbing apprenticeship. That foundation still shapes how I design today.
Over time, I saw a consistent gap in the industry. Many mechanical contractors either didn't have a licensed engineer on staff or were forced to rely on outside consulting firms that were expensive, unresponsive, or disconnected from construction realities. Contractors were often left adapting designs that were never developed with the field in mind.
I founded OAK Engineering to change that.
With experience inside mechanical contracting environments since 2011, I approach engineering from a constructability first perspective. I don't design from theory alone. I design from experience inside the trades.
Every HVAC and plumbing system developed through OAK is built around three principles: clarity, accountability, and real world execution. The objective is simple. Deliver licensed engineering support that aligns with how projects are actually coordinated and installed.
If you're pursuing design work and need an engineering partner who understands schedules, pricing, and field conditions, I'd be happy to work with you.
